Feds Steal Farmers' Crops Every Year Under Marketing Ploy
I've been engrossed in the Horne v. USDA matter all morning now. Wow!
Essentially the USDA requires a holdback of up to 47% of a raisin producers' crop every year in order to artificially inflate pricing for which they have not provided compensation to the farmers since 2002.
The Hornes decided to pack and distribute their own raisins since they were not being paid for almost half of their crop. Legal railroading of the farmers ensues under the guise of Federal regulation until the Supreme Court gets involved (http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/horne-v-department-of-agriculture/) and decides that this a real Constitutional issue dealing with the 5th Amendment (protection against the abuse of government authority).
Wake up! This stuff is real.
